Muhteva olarak Müslüman araştırmacıların siyer çalışmaları da birbirini takip eden türde eserler olarak karşımıza çıkmakta, ancak şarkiyatçıların çizdiği Hz. Muhammed profiline karşı Müslüman araştırmacılar zaman zaman reddiyeler kaleme almak durumunda kalmaktadır. Bu hususta hangi konuların ön plana çıktığı ve reddiye gerektirdiği meselesi araştırılması gereken önemli noktalardandır.
